Short-Term Rental Cooperations
In 2020, Cyprus introduced the Law Regulating the Establishment and Operation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (Amendment) 9(I)/2020, which sets new standards for short-term rentals such as Airbnb.
According to this law, property owners must obtain a Short-Term Rental License, issued by the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism (CTO). The license is valid for two years and requires that each property meets the following conditions:
• The property must be registered with the CTO.
• It must comply with specific health and safety standards to ensure guest wellbeing.
• A valid Certificate of Final Approval must confirm the property is fit for habitation.
• The owner must have a valid tax identification number in compliance with local tax regulations.
These measures aim to maintain high standards across the short-term rental market, ensuring that all listings are safe, legal, and professionally managed.
If you plan to rent out your property, our company will assist you in obtaining the required license and handle all aspects of guest management and daily operations.
